As an extension of Restoration Weekend, "Taste of Restoration" is a 4-city tour which will kick off in Houston, Texas on March 12, 2011. The "Houston Taste" will be hosted by Restoration Weekend Speaker, Pastor Mia Wright, and will feature Toya Beasley, Shon Gables, and Dee Marshall as our guest speakers, and other celebrity invited guests. This event will serve as a cherished time for women to be transparent and supported in and through the daily grind of being women, wives, mothers, friends, sisters, daughters, employees, and employers.
At each Taste of Restoration, guests will be treated to a gourmet lunch, relaxation and beauty stations, powerful testimonies, a networking hour and other surprises. The purpose of each "Taste" is to bring together women from various areas of media, business, entertainment, and influence to share their personal unscripted stories with other women who desire to be empowered and restored.
Recently, Restoration Weekend teamed up with JustGlam Founder and CEO, Nicole Caldwell, to create a richly elegant high tea themed, "Restoring the Glam." Restoring the Glam launched its first high tea on June 26th in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Grandover Resort and Spa. Coming soon to Walnut Grove, CA, Washington, D.C., and Dallas, TX.
What is Restoration Too? Restoration TOO is Restoration Weekend for girls ages 16-21. It's time to RESTORE our young girls, grab them by the hand, guide them and RESTORE the love that so many of our young girls lost. We as women have to take responsibility to instill in our young girls a foundation that cannot be shaken by the value system of this world. We need to remind them that they are worthy, they were born with a purpose -
Knowledge - Constant self-development
Responsibility - Collectively being accountable to bring forth change
Community - Creating a bond among diverse individuals who work together
Faith - Perseverance and inner strength
and teach them what it means to be a lady. Now imagine if you knew at 18, or 21 yrs of age what you know NOW. We can't go back in time, but we can make a difference in the life of another young girl just by sharing our story, because they need Restoration TOO!
